Royal Military College of Canada Head Instructor: Joel
Ridley Affiliated with the Canadian Forces Taekwondo Association, the Royal Military College (RMC) Taekwondo team participates in WTF full contact sparring tournaments in Quebec, Ontario (local, provincial and university level games) and is also a member of the Ivy Northeast Collegiate Taekwondo League (INCTL). RMC also competes at the World University Taekwondo Championships (FISU). Each year RMC normally hosts the Canadian Forces Taekwondo Team Selection Camp which selects CF members at the black belt level who will go on to represent the CF in national and international competition, including the civilian nationals and the Conseil international de sport militaire (CISM) World Championships. The RMC team has twelve members, consisting of male and female officer cadets at all belt levels. Training is four times per week concentrating on the sparring aspect of taekwondo. Additionally, two belt testing and special clinics are held annually and the team puts on various demonstrations when not competing.
