Dan Chuang The MIT Sport Taekwondo Club was founded in the fall of 2000. The MIT Sport Taekwondo Club has won 7ECTC Championships since its inception) (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012 and has one 4 Overall Division NCTA Championships (2004, 2008, 2009, 2010). Master Chuang was honored as NCTA Coach of the Year in 2004. Notable alumni of the MIT Sport Taekwondo Club who have competed at the national and international level include 2004 Athens Olympian Chinedum Osuji, US Collegiate National Team members Christina Park (sparring), Bobby Ren (poomsae), Alicia Zhou (poomsae), Rene Chen (poomsae), Karolina Corin (poomsae), Rebecca Hung (poomsae), Erika Lee (poomsae), Richard-Duane Chambers (poomsae), and Dan Sauza (poomsae), US National Poomsae Team Members Dan Chuang, Rene Chen, and Christina Park, and ECTC MVPs Richard Sinn, Erica Chan, Bobby Ren and Corinna Hui. MIT Sport Taekwondo is affiliated with its sister school, C.W. Taekwondo at Boston, where Master Chuang serves as head instructor.
