339 Athletes Compete in Second ECTC Tournament at Cornell University

November 5, 2018 (Ithaca, NY) -

Cornell University hosts 339 competitors from 24 schools in the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference’s (ECTC) second tournament of the 2018-2019 season.   

 

The morning saw fierce competition in all Poomsae divisions with the following individuals medaling:

In sparring competition, 20 of the 24 school earned points by making it to the quarterfinals of their respective divisions. The following teams medalled:

Tournament standings saw in Division 1 Cornell winning with 639 points, United States Military Academy earning second with 343 points, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology taking third with 239 points. In Division 2, Northeastern earned top honors with 107 points followed by Stony Brook University with 89 points and Boston University rounding out the top 3 with 54 points. Finally in Division 3, Liberty University earned 1st place with 56 points, closely followed by Johns Hopkins University with 51 points and Lehigh University with 48 points. Brown University will host the third tournament of the season on Sunday, November 18
