More about Hilary: 

At MIT, my undergraduate major was math with computer science (18C).

In my PhD work, I study how bacteria make people sick. I use experiments, quantitative data analysis and mathematical modeling to study when and how bacteria cooperate with with one another. 

Thoughts on the ECTC (INCTL) or Taekwondo in general: 

I started in this league as a white belt and I don't know that I would love taekwondo as much if I hadn't started here. The ECTC is a haven for athletes. In this league, athletes get to experience both the drive of competition and the push to gain points for their team while even more friendships are formed off the mat across teams. The more time I spend in this league, the more I value this supportive and generous community.
